Step 1 – Prepare
First of all, you will need to prepare your belongings for the move. This includes sanitising and wiping down surfaces, tables, and cleaning all doorknobs and door handles. If you can also sanitise your furniture with a furniture cleaning product, that would be ideal. We’re here to help you keep safe and all we ask is that you do the same in return.
We’ll also need for you to provide us with a complete list of all the items, boxes, and furniture you need to be moved. As we won’t see each other on the day due to precautionary measures, we will need to know what to move. Itemise everything to let us know what needs to go and what needs to stay. This list will be indispensable to us so that we can meet your exact requirements and expectations, and don’t move anything that shouldn’t be moved! Step 2 – Move
On moving day, you need to vacate the premises by the booked time. Let us know what time to come and where you have left a key to allow us to enter your home. That way, we don’t need to increase the risk of transmission by meeting face-to-face. Don’t forget that we’ll also need access to the property that you’re moving into as well.
When we get to your place, we will give you a call just to go over any last-minute details about the move. This is also a chance for you to ask any questions you have about how it’s all going to work. We’ll talk you through it as we are here to get you moved as safely as possible.
Step 3 – Final Step
Set up a sticker system to label your boxes and belongings by room. That way, when we have brought the belongings to your new place, we can put everything in the right room. You won’t be there to direct us, so this part is crucial if you want your items set down in specific rooms.
